The boys set up their own picnic mats, made simple breakfast (bread with butter and jam) and brought out a few books on a slow Saturday morning.
It was a quiet Saturday morning, the boys were up and I was still lazing in bed. This 'phenomena' seems to happen more and more frequently. It appears they are getting more matured. They have learnt not to budge into their parents' room in the mornings, and quite successfully, they are managing their noise level. Most of the time, they also attempt to solve disagreements amongst themselves before turning to us. So far, they seem to be able to contain their temperaments well because their arguments tend to just stop at that; without erupting into a fight. Quite occasionally, one might hit another, forgetting to use words instead, the one that was hit would usually come to us instead of hitting back.
I have the sudden strong urge of dropping my PDA now and going to them, giving each and every boy a big hug and kiss. Sometimes, amidst the daily chores and routine, they so easily morphed in to become part of the chores too and you just don't see their good side until you have talked with someone about it, in this case, written about it.
I feel blessed.
