It is usually a challenge to get the boys to do their homework. They dislike doing it. They see homework as a chore. They ask, "why must we still do homework after we have already spent 8 hours in school?" They pretend not to hear me when I ask them to take out their homework. They dilly-dally, take small toys out to play. They play with Johann. They ask, "why doesn't Johann have any homework?" They secretly switch on the computer to play games. They play a CD. They run around in the garden. Many times, the playing turns into an argument and sometimes, cryings follow shortly after. They lie on the floor. They ask to go to the neighbour's house. They want to cycle.
Anything. Anything just not to have to do their homework.
So you can imagine how wide my smile is when the boys did their homework quietly today, each taking a space comfortable enough not to disturb the other.
When Enzian focuses on his work, he can produce accurate and neat answers in a very short time.
Ludwig wants to listen to his MP3 while working. I wonder who he learnt this from?
Bart sometimes prefers lying on his stomach to do his work.
