It took me a month to gather all the materials and ideas to sew this huge advent calendar. It has to be huge, for each pouch must be able to house goodies for each of my 4 children, or I would have to sew 4 sets of calendar, which would mean 96 pouches!My girlfriends, also married to Germans, had already sewn theirs a couple of years ago. I had not bothered with it as I was just settling down in Malaysia. I am very grateful to them as they became my "consultants", giving me several tips and ideas for the calendar. One of them even accompanied me to buy materials.
Like the boys, I can't wait to see their expressions when they open their first pouch!
