These are the books we borrowed from the book bus, which comes round the corner every Monday from 1430 – 1630 hrs. The books are from the Munich City Library and each of us are entitled to borrow up to 20 items for a duration of 4 weeks! The bus lends out DVDs, Story CDs, magazines, comics and books of all sorts, including English books! Upon boarding the bus, we were warmly greeted by shelves of books and friendly librarians who can speak some English! They made the registration process less strenuous for me.
Bart has already read all his six books. Enzian read one out of five. Ludwig can’t stop making the “vroom-vroom” sound as he flips through his Auto Motor Sport magazines. Johann enjoys looking at the pictures of his Benjamin Blümchen comic magazines.
Due to the bus natural capacity, it cannot carry a large variety of books and other media. To compensate for that, I could go to their website and browse through their book list, go to the bus, make a reservation and collect the book(s) the week after. All these without having to foot a single cent.
We are already looking forward to next Monday.
