Ko Lanta, Thailand

We drove from KL to Ko Lanta, Thailand during our Easter holidays.  It took us 13 hours to arrive, including driving aboard two vehicle ferries to bring us to the final destination.  This had been our longest drive todate.  Fortunately, the kids and I were used to long drives, so the journey wasn’t a problem.  Of course, they brought along their small toys and MP3 players to keep them entertained.  Christophe also had the foresight to record a football match between FC Bayern and Manchester United from the Champions League so they could all watch and shout “GOAL!”, “TOR!” in the car.

Other than stopping to eat our packed salami sandwiches and crossiants, we were literally always on the move.  The boys had fun using an empty soft drink bottle as their mobile toilet!  We made sure we did not buy bottled ice tea or chrysanthemum tea so there would not be a mix up when one got thirsty!  Haha!

The entire week in the island was spent mostly in the water under the sun.  Weather had been super (hot), clear blue skies almost everyday.  Thoroughly enjoyed the break, totally loved the holiday!
