When they finally arrive, my boys are already in a frenzy of snowball fights in the garden. The timing couldn't be more perfect, the twins simply join in and there isn't even a need for ice-breaking. Everything falls into place nicely, they just get to know each other through pushing each other, laying on the snow making angels, running after each other.
After the garden, we walk to a nearby park to extend their fun time. Johann keeps asking repeatedly, "bist du mein Freund?" (are you my friend?) to both of his new friends. It sounds so cute.
When it gets too cold (for the mothers), we head back to the house. While the six boys play with Lego and PlayMobil, the mummies try chatting, with lots of interruptions in between, not surprisingly.
It is a great afternoon. Johann is a satisfied boy. The twins also enjoy themselves and nod their heads without hesitation when asked if they would want to come again.
