A Call to the Police

Other than shouting from downstairs or going upstairs to their room, I usually intercom the boys when I have to communicate with them on the things they have to do when they are in their room.

This was what happened when I called this evening.

Johann:  Hello, Polizei.
Me:  Hello, Polizei?  警察?
Johann:  警察。警察。警察。
Me:  警察,你可以换衣服吗?
Johann:  What means that?
Me:  Can you change your clothes now?
Johann:  What do you mean?
Me:  I said, change to your sleeping clothes. The clothes are hanging on your bed.
Johann:  Mummy, what do you mean?
Me:  Johann, you will not get sweets on Friday. Do you understand now?
Johann:  Yes, mummy, I understand now.
Me:  What must you do?
Johann:  Change clothes.
