The First Snow

We woke up to see our garden sparsely covered with snow that snowed in the night at minus 1 degree Celsius. Though not yet completely covered in white, weather forecast has it that if the temperature remains unchanged, it might snow again. This little bit of snow got the boys so excited that the first thing Enzian did after he put on his new snow boots was to rush out to gather some snow in his thick thermo gloves.

I can't say I share their excitement. At the back of my head, I am struggling to come up with a new morning schedule to include clearing the snow in front of our house (a law here) before 7am, on top of my already stressful routine of getting the boys ready for school. Sigh!

  1. I guess snow only delights children and suakus who haven't seen snow (like me). :P

  2. Haha... you are so funny. Contrary to your unfounded suaku belief, snow not only delights children, it lifts the moods of any grown-ups too. Even those children that live in temperate countries all their lives, they are screaming, "it's snowing! it's snowing!". So I guess you are not as suaku as you think!
